Every euro you raise goes towards important cancer research

Why KWF

That is what scientific research is all about as far as we are concerned. Research that leads to earlier detection, better treatments and optimal care for everyone affected by cancer. Thanks to scientific breakthroughs, more and more people are surviving cancer. Or improve their quality of life if they do not get better. That is why KWF continues to invest unabatedly in research. Walk against cancer during the Arrow Venloop 2027 and contribute to our mission.

A better life during and after cancer

1 in 2 people in the Netherlands will face cancer at some point. With the Arrow Venloop 2027, we’re raising money together for scientific research—ranging from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and quality of life. But it’s not just research we support. Part of the proceeds also goes to local initiatives, such as the IPSO Centers for living with and beyond cancer, and palliative care.

Where can I find tips on how to recruit sponsors?

add remove

Check out our tools and downloads. Follow our Facebook and Instagram Community, where we regularly share tips. You can also ask your questions there.

What is the minimum amount of sponsorship money that I need to be granted a starting ticket?

add remove

We ask you to raise 1 February 2027 by 500 euros. Are you running in a team? Then the aim is to raise an average of 500 euros er person.  In the unlikely event that you do not succeed, you can buy a ticket via the Arrow Venloop 2027 website.

What if I don't reach the sponsorship amount, am I not allowed to participate?

add remove

We ask you to pick up 1 February 2027 by 500 euros. Can't make it? Make sure you buy a ticket yourself through the organization in time.

If I run with my own team, is it also the intention that you collect 500 euros in sponsorship money per person?

add remove

Yes, if you have registered for KWF and you receive your starting ticket via us, this amount applies to everyone. So also to team members. The advantage of running with a team is that you can divide the sponsorship money, so that everyone raises an average of 500 euros.

I received a confirmation email for a donation, but this donation is not booked on my page and the amount has been debited from my sponsor. Can you add this amount to my donations?

add remove

Yes, that is possible. Ask your sponsor for a print screen of the donation on his or her statement and email it to us via rentegenkanker@kwf.nl. The statement contains a KRI number that makes it easy for us to trace this donation and link it to your sponsor page. And it is also proof for us that the donation has actually been written off.

I no longer receive confirmation emails of the donations or they suddenly end up in my spam box. Can I do something about this?

add remove

Check your spam box and indicate that the KWF emails are not spam. You can also email rentegenkanker@kwf.nl.

Until when can money be donated on my page? Until how long after the event will the page remain active?

add remove

Donations can be made up to four weeks after the event, then the page will close. You will receive a message when the page is going to close.

I sponsored a participant, but he did not carry out his action. Will I get my donation back?

add remove

Donations are non-refundable. Even if participation cannot take place due to exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to weather conditions and (local) government decisions, there will be no refund of donations made on the campaign platform. The donations will benefit the objectives of KWF.

Fundraising with a QR code. How does it work?

add remove
  • Log in to your account
  • Go to your dashboard
  • Select: My QR code
  • Download your QR code or QR poster
  • Share your QR code with your friends and put up the poster everywhere

My employer wants to sponsor me. How does that work?

add remove

We prefer to receive donations via your campaign page. Your employer will receive an email with the confirmation of the payment at the specified email address.

Is it not possible to transfer the donation via your campaign page? Then send us the following information via rentegenkanker@kwf.nl:

- Company name
- Contact person's name
- Donation amount

We will then create a donation request (invoice). This request will then contain a reference number that is linked to your campaign. This invoice can be paid via the bank. If the donation is in our account, we will manually add this to your campaign page.

Is it safe to donate via a KWF QR code?

add remove

Yes. All QR codes used by fundraisers through acties.kwf.nl are linked to our official and secure payment environment. When you scan a code, you will always be directed to a web address ending with .kwf.nl. This ensures your donation goes directly to KWF. Payments are processed via a certified payment provider and a secure (https) connection, keeping your payment details well protected.

When will I receive the Run against cancer shirt? Will you send it or can I pick it up somewhere?

add remove

Once 500 euros has been collected, the shirt will be shipped to the address that you filled in on sign-up.

I received my shirt, but it is not the right size. Can I still exchange it?

add remove

Yes, that is possible. If you are on time, you can still do that before the run, and otherwise on the day itself at the stall/stand of Run against cancer. Email us via rentegenkanker@kwf.nl to provide the correct size. You will then also receive the return address to be able to return the 'wrong' shirt without postage costs.

Can I also print my own logos on the Run against Cancer shirt?

add remove

Yes, that is allowed. These costs are for the participant. You also have to fix the prints yourself.

Is it mandatory to run in the Run against cancer shirt? Or can I wear my own shirt?

add remove

It is not mandatory, but for the image of Run against cancer and for the team spirit, it is nice if everyone wears their shirt. Then you are also recognizable for the employees of KWF. At the finish we also recognize the Run against cancer runners immediately.

I would like to buy a Run against cancer shirt. Is that possible?

add remove

No, this shirt is not for sale. You can earn it by raising at least 500 euros for your Run against cancer campaign.

What size shirt should I order?

add remove

The woman shirts run small, order a size larger than you are used to.
