We walk against cancer during The Marathon Rotterdam Walk

THE MARATHON ROTTERDAM WALK FOR CANCER Saturday 12th of April 2025
Join us for a Fun Charity Event and raise funds for KWF (Dutch Cancer Society)!
We are excited to invite everyone to an upcoming Charity Event that promises to be not only meaningful but also a lot of fun! This is a chance to come together to make a difference and enjoy a great activity along the way.
📅 Date: 12th of April 2025 🕒 Time: 09.00 📍 Location: Rotterdam (starting place is yet to be announced) 🎯 What to Expect: The largest annual sporting event in the Netherlands, fantastic 10 km walk through beautiful places of the city, supported by several musical acts along the way and welcoming stamping posts with refreshments.
Here are further details:
• Personal Sponsoring Site: Every participant will receive their own sponsoring page to share with colleagues, family, and friends. This makes it easy for others to support your efforts and contribute to the cause. You are not obliged to use this page and raise funds. In case you would not like to have a personal page, please do let us know in your e-mail.
• Special Reward: Once you raise €500 through your sponsorship page, you will receive an official Walking for Cancer t-shirt from the charity itself as a token of appreciation.
Even better:
• Entry Fee Covered: The company is covering the entry fee for all participants, so you can focus on fundraising and having fun.
This initiative was brought to us by our very own colleague Rose Govaart! Here below in her own words why she is so passionate about this cause.
“Recently I saw a message that you can do the Marathon Walk and raise money for KWF Kankerbestrijding. I don't like running, but I like to walk and do other sports. Unfortunately, a friend of ours was diagnosed with breast cancer just after Christmas. Fortunately, she caught it quickly, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that she will get better soon and that it won't come back! My mother died at the age of 43 from a brain tumor. And I have many more examples. Fortunately, we also know people who do recover. And that's what we walk for, that's what we want to raise money for. For the research that will allow even more people to recover from this terrible disease!
