I’m running for every life touched by cancer during the TCS Amsterdam Marathon
I’m running the TCS Amsterdam Marathon for a cause that touches more lives than most of us can imagine.
In the Netherlands, 1 in 2 people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. That’s not just a statistic—that’s our parents, our friends, our neighbours, and maybe even one day… us. This is also the same statistic in the UK. It effects everyone around the world. In The Netherlands, every day, approximately 350 people are diagnosed with some form of cancer.
Although cancer hasn’t directly affected my immediate family, I know the fear, the uncertainty, and the heartbreak that this illness can bring. I’ve battled my own storms—mentally and emotionally—and now I’m running to help others fight theirs.
The money raised goes toward life-saving research, better treatments, and giving more people a chance to keep living, keep loving, and keep dreaming.
I’m incredibly grateful to be able to run this marathon. If you can, please sponsor me and help KWF in their mission to beat cancer. Every step I take is for someone fighting a battle they didn’t choose.
Thank you for supporting me—and supporting them.
Danny
