Team TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2025
As part of Team TCS, we would like to invite you to join our fundraising campaign.
Each year at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon we run against cancer and donate to KWF and UMC Cancer Center Amsterdam. In the Netherlands, one in two people will get the disease, and every single person will at some stage know someone with cancer. Thanks to scientific research, more and more people can survive the disease. But to make this possible, we need help!
Create a fundraising page or donate!
You can join the cause by donating and/or helping spread the word. You can register and create a fundraising page - every donated penny helps improve medical care and save lives! Or you can keep it simple and just make a donation on this page. Via its support of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon as title sponsor since 2011, TCS has raised over 4 million euro towards cancer research. With your help we hope to make another ground-breaking contribution this year.
Run and raise money at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon

Start your fundraiser
Create your fundraising page. Make it personal and fill it with stories, photos and memories. Let everyone know why you want to raise money for cancer research.

Share your action
The more people you engage, the faster you will reach your goal. Fill your action page with your personal story and use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and WhatsApp to share your action. This way the news that you are raising money for cancer research will spread quickly! You'll be surprised at the number of people who will help you reach your goal.

Celebrate!
Achieved your target amount? Great! Feel like raising the bar even higher? Increase your goal and raise even more funds. Together we can create hope instead of hopelessness for everyone that is affected by cancer.
Who do you run for?
1 in 2 people in the Netherlands develop cancer in their lifetime. Whether you have it yourself. Or someone you care about. Cancer unbalances your life.
Turn despair into power.
These participants ran against cancer in last years edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. All with their own stories. Who are you running for?
‘The fact that I can just run a marathon within six months since the end of my treatment for lymphoma means that I'm stronger then cancer.'

"I’m doing this for my father Cock, who found out he has esophageal cancer in October. This means so much more than just my own challenge."

"There are six majors in the marathon world: Boston, New York, Chicago, Berlin, London and Tokyo. My father, Stefan, ran the first four. Unfortunately, the last two never happened. It is my goal to run these majors for him before I reach the age of 30. To start my journey, I am running my first marathon in my hometown Amsterdam"

What do we run for?
More patients to benefit from new treatments
Participants in the TCS Amsterdam Marathon contribute to research at the Amsterdam UMC Cancer Center Amsterdam. A lot of cancer research takes place at this renowned institute. With the proceeds from previous editions, they set up a large-scale research network. So that as many patients as possible benefit from their innovative treatments. Not only in academic hospitals, but also in regional hospitals.

Why do the proceeds of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon go to the Amsterdam UMC Cancer Center Amsterdam?
The TCS Amsterdam Marathon values that the proceeds are used for cancer research in Amsterdam, the city where the marathon itself takes place. The Amsterdam UMC Cancer Center Amsterdam has also been associated with the TCS Amsterdam Marathon for more than 10 years and through this new collaboration with KWF, the Amsterdam UMC remains involved.
I have received a confirmation email of a donation. This donation is not booked on my page but the amount has been debited to my sponsor. Can you add this amount to my donations?
Yes, we can. Ask your sponsor for a print screen of the donation on their bank statement and mail it to our team via rentegenkanker@kwf.nl. There should be a KRI number on the bank statement that makes it easy for us to trace this donation and link it to your sponsor page. And it is also proof for us that the donation has actually been made.
I no longer receive donation confirmation emails, or they suddenly show up in my spam box. Can I do something about this?
Check your spam box and indicate that the emails from KWF are not spam. You can also ask for help by sending an email to rentegenkanker@kwf.nl.
Until when can money be donated on my page? Until how long after the event does the page remain active?
Donations can be made up to one week after the event, then the page will close. You will receive an e-mail when the page closes.
