Cancer is something that has been part of my life for a long time. In my family, I’ve seen both sides: People who fought and survived, and people we had to say goodbye to far too early. They change how you look at things.

Now, to be clear: I’m not a natural runner. Or an athlete. Or someone who casually wakes up thinking let's join the NN marathon (10km). Preparing for a marathon will be a tough physical challenge to take on. But it’s nothing compared to what people facing cancer go through every single day.

That’s why I’m running. If my effort can help create even a bit more hope, a bit more time, or a better chance for someone else, then every step will be worth it.
