I'm running against cancer during TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026
In 2026, I will run the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. I am running against cancer, together with the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF). Cancer is relentless. It doesn’t ask permission. It doesn’t choose its victims. At some point in life, every one of us will be affected , as a patient, a survivor, or someone who loves a person who is fighting. I know this personally.
I am running in memory of my grandmothers, who both lost their lives to cancer. Their strength, love, and presence are still with me every day, and every kilometer I run will be for them. This marathon is my way of honoring their lives and helping create a future where fewer families have to say goodbye too soon.
Thanks to research, prevention, and better treatments, more people survive cancer today than ever before. But we are not there yet. We still need breakthroughs. We still need hope. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
