TCS Amsterdam Marathon - Cancer research fundraising
In 2022 I decided to start preparing myself to run my first Marathon. My family traveled from Portugal to support me but due to an injury, I was unable to participate. That was also the last time my Mother visited me in Amsterdam. 🤍
This year, I challenged myself again to run a Marathon and, on top of that, I have decided to join 'fight against cancer' cause. Most of us know at least one person who has been affected by this disease and we all know its impacts. As a reference, 1 in 2 people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime (!)
My goal with this is to contribute to raising funds for cancer research. And where will these funds be sent? KWF Kankerbestrijding - a Dutch foundation committed to fighting cancer through scientific research, patient support and fundraising.
