I’m running against cancer during the TCS Amsterdam Marathon
This run is so much more than a physical challenge. It’s personal. It’s for the loved ones in my life who have faced cancer with courage and grace — those who are still fighting, those who have survived, and those I miss dearly.
Their strength, their stories, and their love are what carry me through every step.
Sadly, 1 in 2 people in the Netherlands will receive a cancer diagnosis at some point in their lives. That number is staggering — and heartbreaking. We can’t change it alone, but together, we can make a difference.
That’s why I’m raising money for the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF), to help fund essential research — research that gives people more time, more hope, and a better chance.

🏃♀️✨ Marathon Magic, Gratitude, and Hope ✨🏃♀️
Dear friends, family, and incredible sponsors,
I’m still absolutely glowing from this weekend, the marathon was nothing short of magical! 💫 Months of hard work, discipline, early mornings, and determination all came together in one unforgettable experience. My main goal was simple: to raise as much money as possible for KWF Cancer Research, and to cross that finish line — strong, smiling, and grateful. 💪💛
But… I’ll let you in on a little secret 😉 ; deep down, I did have a time in mind. My coach said 3:59:00 was totally doable. I told myself, “Just enjoy it, do your best, and whatever happens, happens.”
And guess what?
✨ I finished in 3:56:33 & we raised 1180 euro!✨
I still can’t believe it! Every step felt like a celebration: of life, of purpose, of all of you who believed in me. I ran with a huge smile, with God by my side, and with every one of you in my heart. 💖
This journey wasn’t just about running, it was about hope. About proving that with love, dedication, and community, we can push limits and make a real difference. Together, we’ve taken another big step towards more research, more breakthroughs, and more lives touched by the incredible work of KWF. 🙏
