So you're probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.
It was an idea from my lovely colleagues at coffeecompany to run this race. I have never run a race like this ever. I despise running. Obviously, it would make sense to sign up for this. And yes, I did, and here I am; running my first 10K in March of 2026.
Now, I am not just running for fun and for the good craic I'll have with my colleagues, but also to raise money for KWF.
This year, I lost my dad in a short and unfair battle against brain cancer. He always taught me to chase my dreams, work hard, and have fun while doing so. With this race, I want to push myself and honour my dad. Not just my dad, but also my granddads who I have lost to cancer as well.
So, I'm running the CPC Loop in March. Together with KWF, we’re working towards a better life with and after cancer; which is urgently needed!
For now... let's see if I can get these legs up and going...
