Running Together for a Cause – BCD Dam to Dam Run 2026

I am extremely proud that we will take part in the Dam tot Damloop in Amsterdam with 100 BCD colleagues, coming together not only as runners, but as a team united by purpose. 

Exactly 10 years ago my dad passed away from cancer. And I am running in his memory and honor. Please help me to raise money for the ongoing research that is still necessary to fight cancer. Every Euro counts! This one is for you dad!

All 100 BCD colleagues are dedicating this Dam tot Dam loop to the memory of our founder, John Fentener van Vlissingen, who sadly passed away in December after a fight with cancer. 

We run for raising funds for cancer research through KWF (Dutch Cancer Foundation). By supporting this cause, we continue their legacy while contributing to a future where cancer can be better understood, treated, and ultimately prevented.

The Dam tot Damloop is one of the most iconic running events in the Netherlands, taking participants from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The 10-mile (16.1 km) route crosses the IJ tunnel and winds through vibrant streets filled with cheering crowds, live music, and an electric atmosphere. It is a unique event that brings together thousands of runners from around the world — from seasoned athletes to first-time participants — all sharing the same energy and determination.

For us, it’s more than just a race.
It’s about connection, remembrance, and making a difference together.
