I'm currently training for the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026 - my ninth marathon - an exciting challenge, and one I’m fortunate to be able to take on.

Good health, mobility, and everyday opportunities are easy to take for granted. Cancer touches far more than the people living with it. It affects partners, children, parents, siblings, friends, colleagues, and the caregivers who support them every day.

It changes families’ lives in countless ways: parents who do not get to see their children grow up; children who do not get the chance to become adults; partners facing an uncertain future; families juggling appointments, treatment, work, and everyday life; and friends and colleagues wanting to help but often not knowing how.

Awareness and early detection matter.

This marathon, I’m running to support KWF and the important work they do for people and families affected by cancer.
