I am running against cancer during the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2026. Will you sponsor me? Together with KWF (Dutch Cancer Society), we can help create a better life with and after cancer. This is so important, because everyone will be affected by cancer at some point.
In 2019, I had a long period of illness myself. Initially, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma was suspected. Fortunately, it turned out I did not have cancer, but the fear I felt that week is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I can therefore really understand the impact it has on yourself and the people around you. The chronic illness I ultimately turned out to have caused a lot of damage to my legs, and after a long rehabilitation process, I would like to close this painful chapter of my life. Now that I see the marathon has a partnership with KWF, I want to take part. This way I can help people in need and do something that no one — no doctors, nor my loved ones — ever thought I would be able to do.
