KWF - Amsterdam Marathon 2025
I’m running the Amsterdam Marathon this October – and no, I haven’t completely lost my mind (yet)! 🏃♂️💨
I’m doing it to raise money for KWF (Dutch Cancer Society) – a brilliant charity doing vital work to help beat cancer. Like so many people, this cause is close to my heart, and I’d love your support.
If you can spare a few pounds – every little bit helps, no donation is too small, and goes straight to funding cancer research, prevention, and support for those who need it most.

66 Days Until the Marathon: The Long Run Chronicles
Thursday 14th Aug
It's 66 days until the marathon, and things are ramping up. The weekend long runs are now 20km+ each week and they're testing my will power and my shoes.
It's super tough, but I'm enjoying the challenge so far. There is something enjoyable about those long runs where you begin to question all life choices or pause to grab a drink from a water station (the shop) like a real runner, as if you feel even remotely refueled afterwards (you don't).
One positive, I used to hate bananas but now love them. They are now a key part of my fueling for runs, along with gels, which I'm still trying to convince myself that I like.
