I’m running the NN CPC 5K on 15 March 2026 against cancer.

September last year I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. I completed surgery and radiotherapy in November. I am deeply grateful for the excellent care I received - care grounded in decades of scientific research and supported by initiatives funded by KWF.  Thanks to this, I now have no detectable cancer in my body.

On 1 January I started training for the 5K. I’m running alongside my greatest support- my husband Aaron- who has been beside me every step of the way. Training has not been straightforward, as I live with fibromyalgia, but one step at a time, gently but surely😃

We are running in memory of my dear friend Sally, who passed away from breast cancer in November 2024. We also run for the fellow cancer patients  I met during treatment, whose courage and resilience continue to inspire me.  And we run for those who, in the future, will hear the words “you have cancer”.
