Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues and everyone else,

I’m participating to raise money for cancer research. Money that is urgently needed, because no less than 1 in 2 people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with cancer.

As some of you may know, this cause is close to my heart. My mother was diagnosed with cancer, and thankfully she has recovered, in part thanks to the research funded by KWF, in large part to her incredible willpower, and possibly due to a bit of luck. Sadly, her father, and my grandfather was not so lucky and died of this decease a year before my birth. 

Now its time for me to show some willpower by running this marathon and raising as much money as possible. Help the cause and donate whatever you can miss, its all highly appreciated.
