Cancer affects us all. One in two people in the Netherlands is diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life. Thanks to decades of research, we have already made significant progress. We understand more and more about the disease, and cancer can increasingly be prevented and treated successfully.
But there is still a long way to go.

Who are we?
Yvette:
“What makes working at KWF so special to me? It’s the combination of energy, creativity and contributing to a cause that affects us all. I’ve also experienced first-hand what cancer can do. That motivates me to turn that feeling of powerlessness into something positive at KWF.”
My tip: “Just get started. Tell everyone about your idea and you’ll be surprised by how many people want to support you – each for their own reasons.”
Vivian:
“I love the variety in my work at KWF: from setting up partnerships to accepting a cheque. Before joining KWF, I took action myself by cycling around the IJsselmeer to raise funds.”
My tip: “Ask your employer to get involved too. You could sell smoothies, coffee or treats at work, for example. It’s those small actions that can make a big difference together.”
Susan:
“At KWF, I work every day to make our communications for fundraisers like you as clear and inspiring as possible. From the moment you sign up to the thank-you email at the end: behind the scenes, I’m with you every step of your fundraising journey.”
My tip: “When I started my own fundraiser, I shared the link to my page twice on my Instagram Stories. It was heartwarming to see how many responses (and donations!) I received from people I hadn’t seen or spoken to in years.”
