I am going to run against cancer during the TREK Singelloop Utrecht 2026
Will you sponsor me? Together with KWF, we can make a difference for everyone affected by cancer. I'm running especially for my father Martin Smith, who has incurable prostrate cancer, as well as in memory of some friends and colleagues.
I haven't been running much lately, so it will be a challenge to get back up to running a 10K.

Thanks to the generosity of friends, family and acquaintances I am well over target and received my official t shirt in the post today. Immediately put it on and set off on a training run and amazingly was faster and it felt easier than before, despite being unwell last week. Must be the support!!

Saturday 22nd Aug 2026I'm in Oxford this week at my parents' place which is at the top of a very steep hill. Living in Utrecht this is not something I'm used to and it presents both a challenge and a pleasure - for the views of the dreaming spires. This morning I'm proud to say I ran 8k before breakfast so the 10 is looking more and more doable although doing it in an hour is looking like wishful thinking xx
