As promised, I will run the Rotterdam Marathon in 2026! 🔥
Earlier this year, I promised that if I reached my fundraising goal (€1000 for scholarships for the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam Charity Run), I would run the full Rotterdam Marathon in 2026. Thanks to your support, and the help of my Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University MBA team, that goal became reality and now it’s time to deliver! 🤩
This time, I’m running for KWF Kankerbestrijding and my goal is bold: €100 per kilometer, so €4220 in total.
Every euro will support cancer research, every kilometer will be dedicated to patients and families dealing with this disease.

Wednesday 24th SepRunning for a Cause – Rotterdam Marathon 2026
Yesterday I got the news that I unfortunately did not get a start ticket for the Rotterdam Marathon 2026. A disappointment, yes, but definitely not the end of the story.
… because there’s another way in! KWF (the Dutch Cancer Society) offers marathon entries if you raise at least €750 before the start of January. With your support, I’m confident we can get there.
Actually, I’m aiming higher: €4,420 - that’s €100 for every kilometer I’ll run. Ambitious? Sure. But we still have 200 days to make it happen.

Lopen met een Doel – Marathon Rotterdam 2026
Gisteren hoorde ik dat ik helaas geen startbewijs toegewezen heb gekregen voor de Marathon Rotterdam 2026. Teleurstellend, maar zeker geen reden om te stoppen.
… want, er is een andere weg! KWF stelt startbewijzen beschikbaar voor wie vóór begin januari minstens €750 inzamelt. Met jullie steun gaat dat zeker lukken.
Sterker nog, ik mik hoger: €4.420 - €100 voor elke kilometer die ik ga lopen. Misschien ambitieus, maar we hebben nog 200 dagen tot de marathon.
