10K swim for cancer research

I signed up for the Oceanman 10K in Spain—10 kilometers of swimming in the open sea.
Only after registering, I thought: maybe I can connect this personal challenge to something that actually matters.
Nearly eight years ago, I lost my father to esophageal cancer. If this swim can help raise money for KWF (Dutch Cancer Foundation) —for better treatments, more research, or simply more time for others—then every wave and jellyfish encounter will be worth it.
My goal: €500
That’s €0.05 for every meter I swim :-)
If you feel like giving me a reason to keep swimming - I’d be incredibly grateful.
All donations go directly to KWF’s programs.
Thanks so much,
Joep
