I am joining the fight against cancer | Ik kom in actie tegen kanker
Running has changed my life. It helped me become healthier, stronger and discover what is possible when you keep moving forward.
My journey has also shown me how fragile and valuable health truly is. After experiencing my own stroke, I gained a completely new perspective on recovery, resilience and the importance of people who support us in difficult moments.
Before joining Siemens Healthineers, I was a paramedic and a nurse myself. I have experienced healthcare from the other side: supporting patients, being there in critical situations and seeing how much hope, compassion and expertise can mean for people and their families.
Today, through my work at Siemens Healthineers, I continue to contribute to improving healthcare through innovation and technology.
Now I want to use every kilometer of the Arrow Venloop 2027 to support KWF Dutch Cancer Society and contribute to the fight against cancer. Every donation helps fund important cancer research, improve treatments and support people and families affected by cancer.
Together, we can turn every step into a step toward more hope.

Running Through the Greek Heat 🇬🇷️ — 12.42 km for KWF
Thursday 13th Aug 2026🇬🇷 12.42 km. 1:15:25. 27°C.
My first run in Greece — and definitely not the easiest one. ☀️🥵
After the half marathon, I honestly thought about stopping. It was hot. Really hot.
Everyone I crossed on my way was walking — even the runners. 😅
That probably says enough about the conditions.
But I kept going.
12.42 km done. 💪
And this run had an extra reason: for KWF and my Mission 2,500. ❤️
Every kilometer gets me one step closer to my goal.
