I am running the Marathon Rotterdam 2026 and fighting against cancer

Day Zero
Wednesday 24th Sep
Yesterday, I made a decision that felt both exhilarating and terrifying — I signed up to run the Rotterdam Marathon in April 2026.
The moment I committed, a wave of emotions hit me. Excitement, because this is something I’ve always admired in others. Fear, because 42.195 kilometers is no joke. Uncertainty, because I don’t yet know what the journey will demand of me — physically, mentally, emotionally.
But above all, I felt a deep sense of commitment. This isn’t just about crossing a finish line. It’s about showing up, day after day, with focus, discipline, and purpose. It’s about pushing past limits and discovering what I’m truly capable of.
And yes, even on day one, I felt proud. Proud to take the first step. Proud to run not just for myself, but to raise money in the fight against cancer. Proud to be part of something bigger — alongside friends from the Trelleborg team, united by a cause that matters.
The road ahead is long, but today, I’m on it. And that feels incredible.
