I run against cancer during the NN Marathon Rotterdam

I am running with a deeply personal mission—to honor the memory of my mom, who recently passed away at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer. Losing her has profoundly impacted me, motivating me to take action in the fight against this devastating disease.

I am from Hamburg (Germany) but I was living in Leiden in the Netherlands for 1.5 years, fulfilling a lifelong dream of working for the European Space Agency. I’ve heard how widespread the impact of cancer is in the Netherlands, with 1 in 2 people being diagnosed at some point in their lives.

That’s why I’ve signed up to raise money for groundbreaking cancer research and better care for everyone affected. Every donation counts and brings us one step closer to a future where fewer families have to endure the pain of losing a loved one.

This will also be my first time running a marathon, why not directly #demooiste Marathon in Rotterdam? 😉
