Ik ren tegen kanker tijdens de TCS Amsterdam Marathon
I participate because I think keeping the body fit is good for everybody. Definitely! Running keeps the inside of your body burning and clean, it clears the mind. Getting funding for additional cancer research makes the inspiration even bigger!
When I say that "my running" is good for everyone, I genuinely mean it. It's clear to see how much our environment influences who we are—I've often seen that the people we spend the most time with tend to shape our thoughts, habits, and behaviors. This phenomenon is quite powerful; it’s contagious in nature. When one person begins to adopt positive habits, like running more regularly, it will inspire those around them to do the same.
For example, if someone starts running and shares their experience and enthusiasm, it encourages others to join in. Over time, this small change can ripple outward, creating a larger community of individuals who are more active, healthier, and more motivated. It's amazing how a single positive action can have a snowball effect, impacting not just a close circle of friends or coworkers, but potentially influencing a much broader group. Ultimately, fostering good habits within ourselves can serve as a catalyst for improving the well-being of many others around us, leading to a more positive and supportive environment for everyone.

July 32k reached.
Thursday 24th JulWhile training, I had a lot of moments running from my little village to a bigger city 26 kilometers away. Taking the train after completion of the run to come back home. But then made a bullish decision to run for 32K and completed that as well. Pretty happy with that.
